Referencing David Harvey’s critique of the universalizing qualities of political-economic processes, as well as Frederic Jameson’s description of the expression of the unity of a collectivity, this community center renovation and extension proposes a number of highly contrasting and identifiable forms, materials and spaces in a composition that expresses diversity and heterogeneity.
